Recording artists don't want you singing their songs at karaoke shows any more. I was asked to post this on the forum: The beginning of the end of Karaoke... The Karaoke No Fly List is in action, even overseas. There is nowhere it won't reach, no one it won't hurt. 30 Second to Mars ABBA Adele: Adele Adkins Aerosmith Alanis Morrisette Ashanti Bee Gees Bon Jovi Brandi Carlile Brenda Russell Candlebox Chicago Chris Isaak Christina Aguilera Coldplay Counting Crows Cyndi Lauper Damien Rice Dan Fogelberg Dave Matthews Band there are mannnny more and the list goes on and on........ www.pcdj.com/karaoke-no-fly-list-these-singers-dont-want-you-to-sing-their-songs/

I am aware that the article is from 2013. At that time the laws were different in the U.K. and did not fall under the same guidelines as the U.S. I reposted because I received an email Friday from my distributors in the U.K. that states that as of JULY 1st 2014, the U.K. is now coming under very similar infringement laws and will be severely limited in it's production of karaoke music, which is where a vast majority of all karaoke songs come from now.
